Filling Food Pantries with Loaves & Fishes

Serving our Charlotte Community One Sandwich at a Time

Ingredients for our Red Classic Operation Sandwich project

Red Classic had another successful Operation Sandwich event by making 1,925 sandwiches for Charlotte’s Urban Ministry Center on June 22. Over the course of three hours, 52 Red Classic volunteers made about 640 sandwiches per hour for the homeless. The Urban Ministry Center is an interfaith organization assisting Charlotte’s most vulnerable by offering services such as soup kitchens, housing, and education at 130 shelters. Operation Sandwich is an Urban Ministry Center program that provides an opportunity to local businesses and organizations to provide food to the homeless in our city. (more…)

Red Classic Announces Executive Promotions

Red Classic today announced promotions in two key executive positions. Dave Glancy, former Vice President of Sales and Strategic Planning, is now Senior Vice President of Strategic Accounts. Dave joined Red Classic in 2014 after an extended career at Coca-Cola Enterprises and Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated. Dave was influential in the creation of the company’s project management team, sales strategy and process improvement group. In his new role, Dave will continue to manage Red Classic sales and marketing efforts and the newly created Managed Freight Solutions team.
