This award recognizes the significant and ongoing contributions by a driver teammate in the area of safety, operational excellence, customer service, servant leadership, community service and overall embodiment of Red Classic’s values and Purpose. This fall, a group of Red Classic leaders selected the award’s first recipient, Steve Coleman.
Steve joined Red Classic in 2008 as a professional driver, became a Certified Driver Trainer in 2017 and has been the Driver Orientation Instructor in Nashville, TN, for the last three years. In 2019, he represented Red Classic in the annual Tennessee Truck Driving Championship and is using his experience to prepare other Red Classic drivers for future competitions.
As part of his nomination, Steve received customer recognition regarding his exceptional work ethic and service focus. Additionally, Steve volunteers weekly at his church and with local law enforcement during their annual fundraising events.
“The Safety Champion represents what we all strive to be at Red Classic,” Jason Wing, Senior Director of Safety Services, said about the award. “We’re fortunate to have an outstanding driver like Steve on our team.”
Congratulations, Steve, and thank you for everything you do for our team!
